Tenders - Supplies - open procedure
Fast and High Resolution Digitiser Cards

More information: https://bit.ly/3JMG79y

European Commission - Joint Research Center

Lot 1: A new data acquisition system needs to be developed for the VERDI fission fragment spectrometer. The instrument is composed of a large number of detectors (64 silicon detectors and two MCP's) whose signals need to be digitised at high sampling frequency exceeding 1 GSPS. All channels need to be synchronised with high precision. We plan to set up a framework contract where a sufficient number of digitisers with the needed technical characteristics can be ordered over the time needed to design, develop, test and complete the data acquisition for VERDI. The value of the contract is calculated to cover the possible needs of spare cards as well.

Lot 2: A framework contract to complement existing data acquisition systems with additional digitisers with similar characteristics to the one already in place (14 bits digitisers with 1 GSPS and 500 GSPS sampling rate).

EIC Accelerator Open
TOPIC ID: HORIZON-EIC-2022-ACCELERATOROPEN-01

Apply by: 15 June 2022 and 05 October 2022
https://bit.ly/3JT8Eu3

The EIC Accelerator supports companies (principally SMEs, including start-ups) to scale up high impact innovations with the potential to create new markets or disrupt existing ones. The EIC Accelerator provides a unique combination of funding from EUR 0.5 to EUR 17.5 million and Business Acceleration Services (see Section V).

The EIC Accelerator focuses in particular on innovations, building on scientific discovery or technological breakthroughs (‘deep tech’) and where significant funding is needed over a long timeframe before returns can be generated (‘patient capital’). Such innovations often struggle to attract financing because the risks and time period involved are too high. Funding and support from the EIC Accelerator is designed to enable such innovators to attract the full investment amounts needed for scale up in a shorter timeframe.

The EIC Accelerator supports the later stages of technology development as well as scale up. The technology component of your innovation must therefore have been tested and validated in a laboratory or other relevant environment (e.g. at least Technology Readiness Level 5/6 or higher and have fully completed Technology Readiness Level 4). The EIC Accelerator looks to support companies where the EIC support will act as a catalyst to crowd in other investors necessary for the scale up of the innovation.

EIC Accelerator Open, which has no predefined thematic priorities and is open to proposals in any field of technology or application.

For further information, please see the EIC Work Programme 2022.

Digital Europe Programme (DIGITAL) call for proposals

Testing and Experimentation Facility for Agri-Food
TOPIC ID: DIGITAL-2022-CLOUD-AI-02-TEF-AGRIFOOD

Apply by: 17 May 2022
https://bit.ly/3xCEsRG

The selected project will develop reference testing and experimentation facilities with a focus on full integration, testing, validation, demonstration, and where appropriate certification, of advanced AI-based and AI-powered robotics technologies for the agri-food sector.

Fields of applications may include, for instance, precision farming solutions, but also other applications from mid- and down-stream such as food processing, wholesale, retail, hospitality and food services. The project may cover the whole value chain of the agri-food sector, but should only cover at least agriculture. Where appropriate demonstration can be done in connection with a specialised demonstration facility, several sub-sector and production types can be considered as well as various variables as it regards crop-livestock types/soils/climatic and environmental conditions/farm structure.

The facilities may include a range of use cases in different fields such as – but not limited to - precision weeding/fertilisation/seeding, sensor data management, multifunctional autonomous robotics applications (and its long-time continuous use), and/or in different sub-sectors, such as arable farming, greenhouses, livestock/chicken management. Use cases may also be developed along different topics, such as collaborative robotics, circular economy or reduced food loss/waste.

The use-cases offered should be end-user driven. This will be ensured by closely involving the end-users, e.g. farmers. Smaller farms[2] and businesses should be involved in particular to ensure affordability of AI solutions. The project may conduct an analysis of bottlenecks and drivers of uptake of AI-based solutions by end users for its specific use cases, if appropriate in combination with the European Digital Innovation Hubs.
